*1982 ‑ 1984. Psychologist providing services to a 30‑bed Burn/Plastics Unit, a 26‑30 bed Rehabilitation Center serving head injury, stroke, spinal cord injury and other disabilities patients and for a Rehabilitation Consultation and outpatient service at Harborview Medical Center.

 

*1983 - 1995.  Providing psychological services for the outpatient clinic, Departments of Rehabilitation Medicine and Neurosurgery and to families of brain injured patients in a weekly psychoeducation and support group.

 

*University of Washington, Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. 

 

1985- Present. Private Practice - Evaluation and treatment of patients and their families after major physical trauma and loss of functional abilities.

 

1986-Present. Staff psychologist helped restore accreditation to an IMR facility by developing innovative  programs incorporating state-of-the-art technology for training basic environmental control skills and teaching staff basic aspects of learning, brain-behavior relationships, and specific training techniques as they were developed. Served a caseload of profoundly retarded and physically disabled clients by providing routine assessments, behavior management programs, and family conferences. Performed court ordered evaluations of sanity, competency, diminished capacity, and maternal fitness.

1976 ‑ 1979. Research Assistant/Psychometrist, designing and conducting a follow‑up study on rehabilitated chronic pain patients and conducting structured interviews in chronic pain program; assisting in courses for undergraduate, graduate, and medical residents.

 

1975 ‑ 1976. Research Assistant/Counselor, assessing needs of severely disabled clients; casework with severely disabled clients; vocational assessment and placement; and developing job stations.

 

May‑September 1981‑‑Data and systems analysis consultant to the State of Wisconsin, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation.
